COMMUNICATION


Communication is an exchange of Understanding. 

Communication is an Art of all Social Intercourse.

Communication is Shared Feelings/Shared Understanding.

To express oneself in such a way that one is readily and clearly understood.

Exchange of Meaningful Messages from One Person to the others.

Communication is the effective Sharing or Transmission of facts, Opinions or Emotions by Two or more People.


The Act or Process of using Words, Sounds, Signs, or Behaviors to Express or Exchange Information or to Express Ideas, Thoughts, Feelings etc. to Someone else.

Communication is giving, receiving or exchanging ideas, information, signals or messages through appropriate media, enabling individuals or groups to persuade, to seek information, to give information or to express emotions.


Communication is the exchange of Perceptions, Messages or Information through Speeches, Visuals, Signals, Symbols, Writings or Attitudes.

Communication is the Act of conveying intended meanings from one entity or group to another through the use of mutually understood signs and semiotic rules.

Origin: The English Word “Communication” is derived from Latin Noun “Communis” (Common) and Latin Verb “Communicare” (to share). Thus, to share or make Common something is Communication.


Basic Elements of Communication

Sender : Person who sends Information.

Message : Content of Information sent by Sender.

Media : Medium through which Communication occurs.

Receiver : Person who receives the Information sent.

Feedback : Response from receiver.

Functions of Communication

Inform, Instruct, Persuade, Motivate, Integration and Cultural Promotion, Control, Management, Entertainment etc.
